My heart has been broken,
Shattered like glass,
Ripped like paper,
Scorched to an ash.
All for a boy I love,
Who could never love me.
Why can’t he see,
That I was born for him,
He was made for me?
But through all the rubble
of my lost devotion,
I see a faint light!
Could it be the passion I so badly desire?
Is it just a destructive fire?
As I near it
My query is answered!
It wasn’t the first that I most desired
But a hidden silhouette!
That endearing companion
who’s forever present.
If only I would have paid more attention
I would have found a love that will last
Forever
