The dedicated T mobile Wing camera button is located near the top left of the camera when the phone is oriented vertically, and at the top right when the phone is situated horizontally–the optimal way to use the camera. But the button is flat and hard to press. When I did click it, I often accidentally twisted the phone’s slider mechanism, too, which makes me worry about the long-term integrity of this critical part of the phone. Pressing the camera button launched the phone’s 2.0-megapixel digital camera, and video camera, but the phone lagged considerably while the camera popped up.
This smartphone does, however, includes Wi-Fi. This gives you a much quicker data-transfer speed, but, of course, you have to be within range of a Wi-Fi access point. Speaking of which, you have the option of using T-Mobile’s network of access points, located in bookstores and coffee shops around the country. It also includes Bluetooth, allowing you to wirelessly connect this phone to a variety of peripherals, most notably headsets.
T-Mobile has bundled the Wing with an application called Voice Command that was developed by Microsoft.
